Description

Eksistenz – Journal for Future Philosophy is an international, peer-reviewed philosophical journal publishing original research in hermeneutics, phenomenology, and intercultural philosophy. From the perspective of future philosophy, the journal seeks to rethink these fields, explore new horizons of philosophical inquiry, and address emerging philosophical challenges. Contributions from other disciplines are also welcome, provided they engage with fundamental philosophical questions. The journal also publishes book reviews and interviews.

Focus Topics

We especially encourage submissions that explore the following topics from the perspective of future philosophy:

  • Contemporary developments, future trajectories, and broader significance of hermeneutics
  • New directions and fundamental questions in phenomenology and existential philosophy
  • Intercultural hermeneutics, intercultural philosophy, and dialogue between philosophical traditions
  • The relationship between philosophy, technology, and emerging forms of human existence
  • The future of philosophy and its possibilities in addressing contemporary and emerging challenges

Sections

Each issue contains original research articles on a specific philosophical topic. The journal has two sections:

  • the first on a specific topic (announced in advance in the call for papers)

  • the second as a Varia section, which includes book reviews and interviews
