 Zusammenfassung: Untersucht wird Diltheys Auseinandersetzung mit dem philosophischen Grundproblem der Freiheit des Willens. Zunächst wird verortet, wo diese Auseinandersetzung stattfindet: in der historisch-philosophischen Auseinandersetzung mit Schleiermacher, Kant und den Philosophen des Mittelalters. Aus dem Nachlass ist ersichtlich, dass sich Dilthey mit dem Problem der Willensfreiheit in den Psychologie-Vorlesungen der 1870er und 1880er Jahre auch dezidiert philosophisch-systematisch auseinandergesetzt hat. Die Nähe zu Kants Freiheitsverständnis wird aufgezeigt, aber auch wie Dilthey sich um eine Klärung des Psychologiebegriffs bemüht: Ob die Willensfreiheit empirisch aufgezeigt werden könne oder ob es sich um ein Problem handelt, dass jenseits der empirischen Psychologie angesiedelt sei. Freiheit – nicht als Problem einer metaphysischen Wissenschaft –, wird bei Dilthey diskutiert im Sinne eines metaphysischen Bewusstseins der Person als Person. Wegbereitend wird so Diltheys für die Philosophie des angehenden 20. Jahrhunderts.

Abstract: This paper is about Dilthey’s understanding of the fundamental philosophical problem of the freedom of the will. The author first locates that Dilthey is taking up this problem in his historical-philosophical analysis of Schleiermacher, Kant, and medieval philosophers. From the posthumously published works the author can show that Dilthey also dealt with the problem of free will in a distinctively philosophical-systematic way in the psychology-lectures of the 1870s and 80s. Dilthey’s affinity to Kant’s understanding of freedom is demonstrated – but also how Dilthey continuously worked on clarifying the concept of psychology, regarding whether freedom of will can be demonstrated empirically or whether it is a problem that lies beyond empirical psychology. Freedom – not as a problem of metaphysical science – is discussed by Dilthey in the sense of a metaphysical understanding of the person. Dilthey thus paved the way for the philosophy of the 20th century.

摘要： 本文探讨了狄尔泰对自由意志这一哲学基本问题的争辩。首先要确定的是这场争论的发生地：与施莱尔马赫、康德和中世纪哲学家的历史的-哲学的争辩。从遗稿中可以清楚地看出，狄尔泰在十九世 纪70-80年代的“心理学讲座”中，也以哲学的方式系统地探讨了自由意志问题。这不仅表明了狄尔泰与康德对自由的理解的相似性，也表明了狄尔泰如何致力于澄清心理学概念：无论意志自由是可以通过经验来证明，还是它是一个超出经验心理学的问题。自由——不是形而上学科学的问题——是狄尔泰在对人格之为人格的形而上学理解的意义上得到讨论的。在这个意义上，狄尔泰为20世纪的哲学铺平了道路。
